Don't you fucking love spending 3 days debugging only to realise you had a fucking dash instead of an underscore... Yeah me too! .-.

    @xzvf it was in a string for a filename so instead of return an MD5 string it returned an empty string.

    So I was comparing 2 strings together, my fault entirely lol

    Yesterday I wrote array($variable) instead of (array)$variable in php and spent 2 hours cursing my life...

    Dash instead of long dash has got me for a few hours before. Grim.

    @lunorian not in my case. The dash was part of a role name I had in my code, the long dash was in the authentication service's database. No way for my IDE to know what that value was.
