pily5205yCheck your keyboard ribbon cable. It might be misplaced. It can happen with vibrations and such.

@AlmondSauce probably my last choice. Took laptop to local repair shop yesterday. The guy also suggested the same. He says he may look for the keyboard in market but its difficult to be found.
<And that's just a 2 yr old laptop!> -
@Haxk20 in my previous laptop it used to cost that less. But this time the local repair guy says it would cost around INR 8000 (~$120 but a big amount in my area)
I would be checking with hp centre if he can't make all things done at a lesser price, but it still sucks :/
And here i thought hp would be the best choice of laptop 😣 -
@pily would ask the guy about that. He said that its due to moisture getting collected inside. You know something about that?
Its so frustrating. I never had a water spill or dust getting collected around my lappy. Even my area is mostly dry and humid . How the hell is moisture supposed to get in? -
pily5205y@TitanLannister keyboards are quite sturdy to moisture and such, but I can't really tell without seeing it in person.
My previous supposition is based on the fact there the keys started malfunctioning in groups. -
gitlog57635yTake our the keyboard and use a blower (if you don't have the repair shop must have)
Also reconnect the ribbon
My poor laptop's keyboard buttons have stopped working out of sudden. Its just 2 yr old hp pavillion's quite recent laptop
Yesterday the ' ` ' button was not working, today the '-' and brightness button have stopped working , and i few minutes ago i checked and around 8 buttons are not working.
This sucks so much. I had to stop coding because i was not able to name variables correctly. 😣
