These questions are always asked by people who haven't worked on self-driving cars, and who are hypercritical of them. Probably because they are too simple-minded to understand that there are complexities and edge cases to it, and that their simple "ethics problems" are horrible oversimplifications thay don't actually mean anything.

Another variation I see on this format is "should the car save the occupants or the pedestrians" and I hate it because the answer should be obvious: normal cars are designed to protect the occupants in a crash and we aren't going just bin that, so crash the self driving car to save the people that aren't surrounded by a protective box. -
Fuck self driving cars! Better let people decide what to do in that situation. 🤦♂️
