Yeah this sucks. Funny observation though: If you don't neeeeed the broadband right now and can afford to wait till the next visit. It's incredible how precise these guys get after a few missed visits. They start preparing you weeks ahead and then the day before and on the day and an hour before they arrive :D :D it's amazing..
