Timesheets, timesheets, timesheets. Business bureaucracy. Stuff like this is just a way to prevent any real work from actually getting done.

I know im being unreasonable but fuck that noise.

I know the PM needs it to manage our time and keep the project on schedule.

But I still wish I didn't have to waste my time, which I could be using to tackle the vast mountain of bad code that needs to be fixed.

There's useful time tracking. The one where you put n hours of work on project x and that's what's written on the invoice for your customer.

And then there's useless time tracking like @Owenvii mentioned. What's the PM gonna do, stop you from working because your time budget is used up? Bonus points if the PM doesn't need to do time tracking just for the fact he's a manager. The excuses for that, I've heard them all.
