It's always great idea to map common keyboard shortcuts to something completely different, such as when IDEA sets the default behaviour of Ctrl+Y to "remove the line under caret". Thanks guys, I love surprises, next time try something with ctrl+c.

Note to my future self: when installing the IDEA again, remember to remap the ctrl+y..

Ah yes, or the 'helpful' swapping of ctrl+c and ctrl+shift+c (likewise with v and X) in IDE terminals, resulting in stroke-inducing discrepancies such as being unable to send a keyboard interrupt to any process ever, which has had an open issue for years but was rejected recently by the Devs saying "nobody could possibly want that!"

Or the whole Ctrl+N, universally understood to mean New, doing literally nothing except when using Java EE.
