My last job we got a $400 scope. It freakin has FFT and other math functions. Amazing what you can get now.

@Demolishun Some even have a free decode license. And others ask for like 500$ just for a fucking decode license.

@JFK422 as usual: the extended guarantee and support is what they sell you with those expensive ones, if you are fine without it, you can get it for much less.

Meanwhile, my project paid a consulting company 15k€ for a software defined radio which we had no API for, was miscabled here and there, had filters with a 10th of the bandwidth we required, and didn't even samples In-phase and Quadrature signals at the same times. And if you know anything about signal processing, you'll have realized that this last thing makes that thing worth less than actual literal garbage for radio signal processing.
An ethus SDR could have done better for a tenth of the price...
