It’s not the coding or the job that sucks. It’s the assholes you work with.

    Eeehhh...
    No the code does suck
    Coding itself is fun but
Not when some other guy has made a huge mess and your assigned the task of cleaning up his shit

So the code sucks because people are assholes

    I guess your right lol

@Owenvii lol you have a point.

@torbuntu I second that. Sometimes it takes time to realize that(you being an arsehole), or even worse you become a bigger asshole.

That's why "working remote" is the best option.

@orhun remote is definitely the next best option.

I wish working remote fixed the issue. I'm currently cleaning up a bunch of idiotic booby traps left in our server code by the cowboys who updated our prod schema manually instead of writing the proper fucking migrations, which causes generated test databases to fall over and die anytime it runs into their parts of the project. There are two entire tables on prod that don't exist on dev, and a bunch of fields that are updated at the DB level but not in the models. What the actual fuck. I work remote. These guys are perfectly personable IRL, but working remote allowed them to get away with this kind of bullshit for years.
