BOOOOOYS

I just figured out after a year of owning the machine why the monitors felt like they were running a bit sluggish in Windows. They were!!

Even though they are 144hz monitors Windows locked them down to 60hz! Fuck, that's so dumb!

Linux didn't do that. Fuck, that's so dumb!

Wait, why? They shouldn't do that, I have some friends with those monitors and they don't had any problem with them.

Did you at least enjoy the 'retro effect'? :)

@dudeking windows shouldn't have set a 60hz refresh rate on my 144 hz monitors.

My dual monitors are capped at 120hz whatever machine & OS. Either my cables or computers are too old, maybe both!

@dmoa Depending on your resolution, it could well be your cables.

@dudeking No, it actually is. How does windows generate the select menu than?

@dudeking bullshit, KDE Plasma's desktop had no trouble. Plus many programs, including windows, give you a list of refresh rates.

@AlgoRythm why not just set the refresh rate in the device manager and be done with it?

@arcsector I didn't know that was why my displays felt laggy. I thought it was just windows being shitty
