Today my project manager called Hadoop a data warehouse and a Big Data lake in a meeting. I couldn't decide whether to laugh my ass off or spend the next 30 mins explaining to her what Hadoop actually is.

That is kind of right, but so wrong at the same time. At least for theire purposes it will be just a fancy warehouse, even if they knew that it is neighter the intend of hedoop nor its actual selling point.
