Everyday standup sucks!!

I went from having no standups, ever (and being able to start at noon if i wanted) to having 9:30am standups every day. It's awful.

What do we cover in the standups? "I worked this ticket, I have no blockers, and I'm planning to continue working on that ticket." So helpful!

Seriously, for an all-remote team, they don't seem to grasp the concept of async communication.

IMO, its just a waste of time!

Stand ups are fine if the person leading then knows their shit. Which most corporate dumbfucks don't.

The best teams I've worked with, all had no stand ups. You sit together and if there's a problem, you tell the guy across the table what's up.

If something needs doing, grab their attention and tell em.

That's it.

The idea that you need a regular random ass period every morning, to be able to track what's going on is fucking stupid.
