Y'all mother fuckers who use "don't re-invent the wheel" as a tactic to not grow new neurons, as if a ceiling's there — fuck out of my circle.

Those mother fuckers have never even created a single wheel - ever!

Well, ima re-invent any fucking wheel I want, when and where. How I learn is not your fucking busy.

What's even more annoying is that those telling me that shit are pretty much part of the paint on the wall and damn unemployable any where on this earth.

    If the wheel wasn't reinvented, it would still be a square.

    Reinvent it all you want, you just might find a better version.

    I feel this so much. Like, re-inventing stuff is a great and effective (imo) way to learn how/why certain things work (or not) and how it could be improved.

    Iagree. It^s about understanding the wheel, not about having it. I'd say, dont reeinvent the wheel twice, though.

    That's why I am creating a web chatroom just to learn node better! It does not matter how many times chatrooms have been created or what. We need to learn things too.

    Reinventing the wheel is amazing for learning and you should definitely try to understand everything about the wheel.

    But please don't reinvent the wheel for production purposes unless you understand the currently existing wheels very well already and have good arguments for doing it your own way.
