Second dev wants to own accounting half of the ticket.
Rip out half my changes, rewrite specs.

Code review asks for minor changes.
Finish them.

Product creep creeps the scope.
Finish the feature again.

New release happens.
Merge in master; fix conflicts. Run specs; random unrelated specs fail, some fail intermittently. Rabbit holes of complicated, unexplored, obviously-flawed code.

    Is a 40% pay increase worth the drudgery? And only managing to work 5% as quickly?

    Hahah happens a lot , sometimes I have to fix issues without telling team to work and fix. Because they will create more bugs rather solving 😂

    @has@hash-table maybe you are correct .
    The salary rises and efficiiency may decrease, due to many factors . But not true for every case , a dev with low salary at start just do the code , but with time he may be the lead decision making or team manager for code (obviously pay should rise) , he then not just code. But check with others code, help them . Plan changes and more .
    So actual coding may be reduced but like other work increase.
    Same in mine case like .
