These woketards hating on meritocracy are like fleas that discuss about abolishing the dog they feed on.

Yeah, husband's employer just went through a round of diversity initiative and got people who knew what they were doing for the most part.
Aaaaaand now they had to pare back after a rough quarter and are saying things like, "we're going to focus to not put people with visas or relocation packages in the wind."

Not sure what "intersectional" means in this context, but after dealing with a dev who routinely stayed up partying all night and was tired, useless & grumpy most of the time at work, I can see the value in ensuring employees are fully awake at work.
Not saying it should be the most *important* driver, but I do get it. -
matt-jd10305y@AlmondSauce I think it's more of a political "woke" than actually being physically woke
-
@AlmondSauce Woke (usually) refers to opinions/politics, not being physically awake, as @matt-jd pointed out.

@matt-jd @Berkmann18 Oops. Never heard that term in that context... Shows how out of touch with popular culture I am 😁
-
@AlmondSauce Well, to be fair, it's not something you'll hear outside of social media or certain social circles.
-
@AlmondSauce That is not a bad thing. There is a lot of crap being pushed as "good" lately.

Anyplace that places a higher value on being "woke" and "inter-sectional" than actually doing the job.
