dan-pud8585yGreat that a CEO doesn't need to make themselves too important they can't have a normal conversation. Sounds like a good company
-
That sounds fantastic. If he didn't press the situation as "hey, I'm your head honcho" then he sounds like a cool guy to work for. Hopefully your direct peers and managers have the same attitude.
-
irene33915yMy direct boss is a bit intense but all in all it seems good. I saw the CEO today and he was like, “Oh hey Irene, have a good weekend.”
I replied, “You too. Stay out of trouble.“
Seems like a down to earth guy. -
irene33915y@zemaitis Knowing who is in authority over me doesn’t generally change the way I act. What is the point of knowing a power structure if I’m going to ignore it?

When you start at a new work place where it's small enough to encounter owners or high level executives, is to pretend you don't know who they are when first meeting.
They'll assume you're oblivious and you get to see how they are outside their role.

practiseSafeHex14I GOT A JOB OFFER!!! IM OUT OF THIS FUCKING HELLHOLE!!! 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕
I started at a new company. I met tons of people the first day. Third day on the job a guy comes up to me and says hello. I’m like, “Hey. What’s up. Thanks for welcoming me look forward to working with you and etc. I’m still learning names. Se ya round. I should get back to work.” Totally like I would greet the janitor or anyone else.
He leaves and people tell me that he was the CEO. I kill myself laughing.
