By external marketing which promotes downloads. Which ranks your app higher in the index.

I have not worked on this, but there is also the concept of deep links or app links or something like that, which would provide links to the app's search results for mobile. Glassdoor does that extensively, i guess there are ways to maintain a good seo score in that

As @heyheni said, your app needs a basic minimum of downloads (200?) before it could be searched

For that to happen, you could ask your friends, colleagues, and their chain of people to download
