Ive gotten pretty good at web dev that most projects seem easy so i just tell myself i could probably finish the whole thing over next weekend if i spent the entire day coding.

I end up procrastinating my way till last minute, sometimes screw over deadlines, i just cant get myself to want to work on it. and i keep accepting projects for the money and throw myself in this guilt tripping loop every time.

what can i do to get myself to work on freelancing? (in my actual full time job im very productive coz mostly the project i work on is my passion but freelance is just too much of a drag!)

    By the way, have you tried coding while listening to music? I recommend Daft Punk's music if you are into electronic.

    Treat your weekend work day like a day at work. Get up same time, get dressed, do same breakfast, etc. Walk out the door and then walk back in the door. Supposedly this will help get in the mode of work. Setup a "work" space if you have to. When I was working from home I would seal myself in my office and do my work.

    What I do is tell my roommates "I'm being lazy. Tell me to get back to work."
    And they do.
    It's actually more effective than simply telling yourself to get to work, especially for procrastinators. Suddenly it's a whole other person telling you to do something, kinda like work, even if that person was directed *by you* to say it.

    Sometimes breaking weird mental habits and hardwired behaviors is more about gaming your environment (including your own brain and the people around you) than it is about willpower, like the ultimate headfake.

    Why do you have to freelance at first place, if you have regular full time job? Just take some time off, relax, watch movies, read books, play some games, go for a bike ride or run. Mental health is important if you don't want to be burn out soon.

    @hitzoR as i said, i seriously need the extra money, but since i have a full time job my brain seems to think it deserves to chill and play games after 6pm
