I've been there. I had a poster that had a dove on it, and the words, "Let it go. If it returns, it's yours; if it doesn't, it never was." Glad to say, life does go on, and eventually you do find the one that is yours.

Move on is my best advice. If you get back together now it will fail again. Talking from experience.

@heartbroken I'm sure the advice sounds harsh, but I'm in a similar position and have been for over a year. We got back together but nothing changed and now here I am a year later still wanting her. I need to move on, but really feel like she was my soul mate.

What I mean by developer is, this community is primarily for software developers, but I'm curious to know if you're here just to find people to tell about your feelings? It's cool if you are, I'm just curious that's all.

@drRoss no I'm not a developer I just needed to rant and I searched it up and this came up so I used this and the support on here has been amazing. And yeah I'm using it for feelings

Right in the feels. It sucks, but in the end, you'll end up in a better place anyways. My ex-girlfriend did this, and a week later she tells me she is engaged since God told her this guy she met at church was her future husband. Shes now lonely and probably in a mental ward for drinking the Koop aid at a cult like church.
