I secretly look down at Dev's who work with "php"

    What is the main reason?

    It's a horribly designed language.
Any good Dev agrees to that leave alone the Devs who actually work with it. From handling the db params to simple string operations are so inconsistent . You could just google why is php a bad language design .
I have done some work with php myself , it's so flaky compared to any other interpreted language

Ah the PHP flame wars are alive and well. I look down on any dev that can't bend PHP to their will. πŸ˜›

You can write webpages in c too , its bout picking the right technology for the right things and being able to predict based upon your choices, why would you pick a bad tool when there's no dirth of good tools is the question.

@metal-code PHP is right for nothing

To each their own. I like PHP, warts and all.

Tools are overrated. Best languages are just as capable of producing crap as any other when put in the wrong hands

I'm far from being a fan of PHP, but I'll never look down on a dev for the tools, or languages, he uses. Or worse, have to use.

There's stuff for everyone, just respect other's taste. No need to be a dick with people that got the same passion :/

Lol someone's butt hurt but that's my point if you are passionate , you would never choose php., or choose a bad tool just to hack something up "quick".
Wish I had a button to just destroy all the php Eco systems in the world πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ

@metal-code you don't always choose it, hey.
And I guess - like said, I'm not a Php dev - Php proved it's capabilities with all the big powerhouse using it.
But, hey, we all have to bow to the mighty-code point of view....

Lol any language would do an insert in less than 5 lines of code tbh πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
And the good thing with any other language is you would not have a choice between a method that is open to sql injection vs another one saying "real" in its name to be more authentic ,like wtf php

@Letmecode if it was only me, I'd work on Haxe or Elixir all day long ^^. But there's the code to love and the c# to pay the bills :)
