The fuck is wrong with android development?!
Every little shit app depends on Google-Services.
Oh you want this app that essentially just keeps track of your homework?
Well fuck you, because we decided to display a login-with-google popup at the start and now, the app won't run if you use an ungoogled ROM.

    Being entirely dependent on a third-party service comes with its own cons, the earlier this is known the better. A better approach would be having a fallback method... Is 'B' service available... No? Fallback to 'A'.

    @GiddyNaya
    In reality
    "Is GSF installed?"
    If no, fallback to infinite loading screen.

    It's good for Google, so I'm guessing Google offers big advantages to developers who shoehorn this nonsense into their apps.

    It's the easiest way to get access to farm someone's info. Plenty of money to be made just tracking who used what when.

    Yeah this is fucking annoying. For example, the 9292 app over here (public transportation planner for the entire Netherlands) loads in ads through GSF (or, tries) and i don't have GSF on my android system and in this case this makes that.... the entire app freezes for about 30 seconds when going to any portion of the app which would contain ads...
