Did I really go to university, have object oriented programming taught to me from scratch and embedded in me as best practice, work with OO frameworks for 3 years and become a damn good web dev just to use Drupal?

    Look for smth else or start your own thing.

    @DerDuke unfortunately I don't have a choice as it's being used on projects owned by the company I work for. I'm also not in a position to try to suggest changing the platform these projects are built on :/

    Don't fret. Understand that every framework is just a tool.

    Change it, or make the best use of it.

    Drupal is actually a great framework for building a CMS - especially now that its all rest driven. ive been doing a lot of drupal 8 microservices work.
