You are a dev ffs. You are the one who should tell people to read the permissions ...
You know... You dont want pornhub app to use your camera and location. -
osmarks8668yOh yes, let's give [random app] access to contacts, camera, microphone, phone, my soul and all location data! What could go wrong?
-
devJoe27108yI believe you either know about the particular app you want to download or read the description of random apps before downloading them
-
@devJoe Descriptions can be misleading, apps that require permissions they shouldn't have tend to be either poorly written (common) or malicious (a bit less common)
-
mrdooom918yI check the permissions of every app I install or update. The information is there, security is important, and it's foolish to ignore it and hope for the best.
-
Are u dumb?! Read the permissions. Don't be the person who devs complain about having shit code. I DON'T WANT ALL THOSE SHIT DEVS TO COME HERE! Get better and return here after, or learn from here. Let's keep stupidy outside.
-
Yes I do. So that I can make sure to disable certain things through App Ops on android (like, stay the fuck away from my location data!)
A customer just asked why my app required certain permissions...
Do people really read permissions before downloading an app?
