I work at a student help desk. I've been asked where the "any" key is located 3 times today. WHY.

What is the any key? (sorry for askin :))

I don't believe you, when do users have to press any key? In corporate and universities they run windows 7+ and you need ctrl alt del to log in.
What kind of system do they run?

@Charmgoggles yeah, we have to, but the any key is neither ctrl nor del and not even alt. Is it?

Can you show us on a picture of a keyboard where I would find the any key? Is it a function key or..?

Press any key to continue. This was written some years ago when for example, you installed software from multiple floppy disks and you had to put in the next disk. It's out of time now. Now we have I info dialogs where you read text and press a button, maybe 'ok' or something after reading.
