    No worries @Shonen

    Could be worse... someone is paid to fit indicators to Audis.

    @ridecar2 Audi drivers use them. But only the left ones. BMW indicators are a waste of money.

    Calling all SysAdmins that manage macOS servers! Any input?

    System demigod Overlord here. I have seen Mac is x server... It is utter shit!

    NewRant(wtf){
    My experience was just for a day. The goal was to see what Mac is x server had to offer like SSO services (ldap/kerberos) and some automated systems management for a whole bunch of Mac laptops.... They do have those things but it is always lacking decent documentation! Also you really need to have a dedicated machine to run it! And you cannot run it headless - meaning without a screen, say on a virtualization cluster server setup like VMware because you are only allowed to run it on a mac certified hardware machine! Also the amount of virtualized mac is x machines on a single host is limited to two!

    In short, it is horrible, do NOT even consider using it.

    My advice, forget Mac os x server, it is shit... Do your mass systems mgmt on Linux based systems, use Linux software services for management, and for managing Mac clients use puppet or at least boxen , look that up on Google.

    Pure objectively.. Mac hardware DOES work.. it DOES integrate with each other.. And for graphical or linguistical tasks, the mac is a very good machine. But i have serious problems the way it is sold, manufactured and environmental responsibility they completely lack.
    Not saying the other manufactureres are saints, they suck as well, just not so hard like Apple

    also, serious development on a Mac is, unless you pay for every pieve of software... Almost impossible, i refuse to pay for an IDE that is the only program you can really use to write programs for the Apple ecosystem (yes i'm referring to you xcode) (yes you can just use the compiler for free and lack serious important stuff)... Also..;security.. It is MADNESS to have Mac os X Sierra STILL USE OPENSSL 0.9.4.... We're already past Version 1.X guys! It's absurd to have to brew install the latest openSSL version.

    Secure operating system? My b*n%h$l@!

    @divil oh, i stand corrected then. I remember though cursing apple when I saw xcose being priced at 10 dollars or something.. Maybe it was a fuckup from their part, anyways, I've long abandoned the system until recently it came into my plate as task. If there are any macFans (I'll be polite) our there to prove me wrong, then please, enlighten me.

    @divil i dont develop mobile apps anymore. Customers have usually Jack shit idea about what work comes involved in in implementing a "cool but simple feature" like augmented reality (a customer once wanted the paintings to "come alive" by fucking animating all the living creatures in detail in their specific set form, preferably from any angle of the picture....and thinks 3 days is plenty. Customers also tend to easily forget that many apps require a set of services on the cloud, but don't bother to set up proper hosting... Sigh... Such a bunch of whiney nitwits...I've stopped torturing myself and chose system administration all the way. Sure customers still nag, but at least they don't pretend to know it all. These people often don't know that the green lock symbol at the browser comes automatically with proper SSL configuration...they think they must order "a module" from the website...

    People nowadays Trust me and let me do my job, or else they will feel the wrath of the superuser!

    @divil oh dear lord,I feel your pain. Hope the customer realises that it's almost madness to create such a thing, considering all types of light, light direction (direct/diffuse,...) And also the quality of the camera.
    Wish you the best in your lightbulb project.
