I was rejected by the company that I had already made plans to work for, all of it was perfect, but I just got rejected based on a video response question basis. At this point I'm down so much that I want to leave the field. I feel like I'm giving up way to easily and especially since it's only a start to my career but I just don't know if I am good enough anymore, the hesitation to write code has set in and I don't know where to go anymore... where or how do you guys get your inspiration?

writing code is one of the best things I've done in my life - paid or unpaid!

When I was 22/23 I was contacted out of the blue by, not a recruiter but a hiring manager for the company is wanted to work for since I was 16. I was basically fresh out of higher education and had been working part time in a bingo hall to earn some money.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing although I felt the need to inform them that I'd never had a tech job before and that while I'd drive down at the first instance, I may be wasting their time. We agreed that an interview focused less on commercial experience would work.

They didn't hold to that and I was rejected due to lack of commercial experience.

This upset me somewhat, dream company always wanted to work there and they even called ME about coming to see them.

It just wasn't to be, and that's ok. Sometimes things just aren't.

I ultimately got a job elsewhere and in fact failed to get the original position I applied for.

Simple advice is don't give up.
