be careful when working with people like this. could get really muddy if you react wrongly....

@ilechuks73 Oh I'm aware. I just say "sure" and do it, seething on the inside the entire time. For the most part I like my job, and I'm not gonna jeopardize it by throwing an (outward) fit over things like this.

Yeah I'm very much in the camp of:
Whomever called the meeting or the meeting owner needs to be in charge of the actual calendar item.
It isn't a big problem where I am now but at another place it was an issue with some less reliable folks. Then they'd get someone who would be a pushover to schedule the meeting ... and not show up so the meeting wouldn't actually start because that's how the conferencing system worked at that place :P
Now if I'm meeting guy and calling / the meeting ... then yeah that's on me to finagle everyone's schedules. -
asgs112754yFUCKING BASTARD. GO CHECK MY CALENDAR AND SCHEDULE THE MEETING YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE. DON'T EVEN THINK OF SENDING REIMINDERS

Good boy! 😂
Your boss sounds pretty cool. -
teapot954yI never understand people who request a meeting and then not take the initiative to either book themselves or at least suggest what time works for them for me to decide.
I have learnt to simply reply with "my calendar is up to date for availability, please feel free to book a time that works with all of us".

MANAGER: "Hey Slug, I just got off the phone with $partner about $issue and they want to have a meeting with us to discuss it. Send them an email and schedule something for Thursday morning."
WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK I AM, YOUR PERSONAL SECRETARY!!??? If you're the one who has a specific day and time of day that works this week, and if you were talking to them anyway, then how about YOU schedule the meeting????? And of course $partner comes back with "Does 10:30 work?" and so now I'm just playing middle-man. Who could have seen THAT coming.........
