I'm 21 and haven't gotten around to get a successful company of my own going yet

Yes since about age 7 or so and now after about 35 years of doing it I still enjoy going to work :D

I don't have a "dream job", but as long as I don't dread going to work, I take that as a win!

My original plan was to work at a big company as a dev or devops person

I'm 21 and I achieved that, not sure what my next step is, but I'm enjoying myself a lot

My current job is great.

But I was unsure of what my dream was before I started working.
I thought I only wanted to work on new huge games, turned out I preferred working in smaller teams improving websites.

Kinda, I have two and doing one of those right now! (the other one requires a whole different skillset)

I'm liking what I do, I just don't like what I get paid for doing it.

There's no such thing as a dream job. Marketing idiots convince you that there are these super companies for programmers like Google or Facebook and because they're in silicon valley, they're extra special or some bullshit like that.

The best company is one where you can build what you like and work with decent people.
