Work at a media company that reports political news. The government tries to block, launch DDoS attacks, and send a group of thugs to protest outside the office. How to migrate to Canada again?

@saintograph what a small world, thanks! We are still strong as a company I believe. The journalists here are some of the most brilliant people I know. We are in the process of creating backups. We launched an app and chrome extension so even if they block us, readers can still get access. Hope press freedom will improve here :/

If worldwide trends keep up, I fear the ride will get rougher. We're on the same bus though. Migration crossed my mind, but a recent trip to Europe was discouraging.

How are you guys building those extensions? With JS?

Don't scare yourself just yet. Our incredibly connected society always finds a way.

    Mind if we connect?

p.s you might want to remove the previous comment about the API code base. Knowing its stack makes it easier to break into. The red shirts can't tell code from elementary math, but you never know.

@KiteZilla Huh? I thought otherwise. I'll have to look it up myself.

@KiteZilla I stayed in Canada for about a year. At least there's freedom of speech. In Malaysia, there is no freedom of speech by the constitution. So it's much harder. Plus, Trudeau didn't steal 42billions from the people lol.

@eshwarenm There is no freedom of speech here in the sense that it's a right. Everyone thinks we do but there is no such privision in our charter of rights. Most people just don't hold the wrong opinionsm here. But make no mistake, they classify silly things as hate speech and that is the vehicle for censorship.
