Netbeans

Am I really the only person on devRant who likes Netbeans or do I miss a lot of stuff... You more of a intellij guy or something else? :)

@linuxxx yes I use IntelliJ. Netbeans is nowhere near IntelliJ for many many reasons. Integration with Version Control, project control, intellisense and a lot more. It's just a far more modern tool compared to netbeans.

@tahnik Fair enough, everyone their preferences! Whenever I try intellij it fucks up and I just remove it again but heard great things about it, looking to get a working version just to try it some day. I don't know about a lot of features in netbeans but it does have build in version control (which I use regularly). The thing with intellij is that in my case, on whatever Linux system, the plugin management thing crashes when I select a package and I have to install packages in order to program in PHP with syntax highlighting. The intellij community edition is open source, right?
