Student: I f*cking hate this calculus I am not even good in math.
Professor: Then why did you choose Computer Engineering it needs a lot of math.
Student: Because I love computer.

We have computers, we shouldn't need math.
We should learn to solve every math problem using computers!

Small percentage of programming niches may need calculus. But the calculus requirement is ridiculous and out of touch with the real world.

That stupid stupid requirement has wrecked thousands of programming careers and caused people to drop out. YOU DO NOT NEED CALCULUS to be a great developer.

Universities should wise up. I challenge any professor to articulate why calculus is required for business development.

At the end of the day you are studying computer science - and math is an integral part of that.

Of course, calculus may not seem so helpful when you want to be a software developer. But that's not what a CS degree is about.
