Well, pi does not have a power off button 🤷‍♂️

It has more extra capabilities than just the power button, but the title does not help at all.

If this were an Apple product it would be the second coming.

I mean... the struggle to have a power button on RPi 3B+ was real at one point.

How hard is to connect 2 pins and make a script to shutdown? Or to ssh into it and do that via console? I mean, is a power button already soldered so revolutionary?

@michezio It just halts or reboots on anything not RPi4, so unless that changed, it doesn't actually shut down.

I also get every ~3 days some article that says THIS new device is more powerful than a Raspberry Pi.
Then I'm like yeah... but it does not work with raspbian, you don't have the giant community and on top of that, I don't want to pay triple the price of 35$ for a toy computer.

I mean, wow, if you pay more, you get better specs. Congratulations, article, you have understood one basic principle of capitalism

@StopMotionCuber in capitalism better or more powerful does not really correspond to price almost always. Most often some shitty "designer" product is more pricey even though it's not practically superior or even is inferior to the competing product, but a shit ton of marketing was performed to sell it. That shit IS the capitalism. Invisible market hand which equalizes everything is a good fairy tale for children which does not exist IRL.

@iiii I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. At least if you stick to a certain vendor, more money translates roughly to better specs.
I studied CS though, so I'm not a capitalism expert

@StopMotionCuber sticking to monopoly (even if it's your personal monopoly) isn't really capitalism.

Not an economics expert as well. Just my personal thoughts.
