Update: On second job offer

There are multiple red flags detected early on. I guess I will reconsider the position.

1. They said there will be 5 rounds with no case study

2. They said they have the budget approved for the salary range I am looking for

3. Promised me for Senior Product role and are offering me for Product role all of a sudden

3. Schedule 4 rounds instead of 5

4. Finalised and proceeded for offer in just 2 rounds

5. Start salary negotiation saying they don't have enough budget for the range I am looking for

6. I read their Glassdoor and it is pathetic

7. Came back today saying I will have to do a case study and only then they will decide whether to hire me or not and previous selection confirmation was miscommunication (WTF!!!!)

TL;DR: HRs are assholes when it comes to salary and low ball you and fuck such company with toxic processes and no clear mentality.

    Sounds like consulting firm tactics.

Given any option I would not take that.

@SortOfTested Yes. Exactly what Glassdoor comments read.

@SortOfTested And guess what... I wanted to tell this to you yesterday itself...

Who is one of the co-founder? Hahahah wild guess?

@Voxera Even I feel there are other better companies I should look for and that my manager is anyway going to give me some raise (the process is 60% complete).

    @F1973

The further you get from the tap, the less attached to reality the monied elite become. If you don't have at least an implicit understanding of suffering, it dramatically increases the odds you view life transactionally. I do everything I can to distance myself from that type of person.

    Tldr: Life is duhkha.

    > monied elite

Also the new elite, the government funded elite..

So far my experience of anything more than one schedule round, is I wasted my time, and usually my money travelling to said round !

It reminds me of unpaid governments schemes to help you get employment, which also generally tend to be useless.

I could be far more productive not going to them !

@F1973 it’s not bait and switch at this level, it’s more honey-trap and fist-fucking

I’m sure you’ve already gotten plenty of good advice and don’t need my noob advice, but what I would do is respond to their last communication with your grievances and say you are no longer interested in working for them. Make them beg to have you work for them πŸ™‚
I mean even it you get everything you want it still might not be a good place to work, but I guess that’s up to you.
