@ScribeOfGoD, I'm currently using a core m-5y71. It idles at 60, and spends half its time throttling.
Just need 16gb ram (I use 8gb + 4gb swap). -

@ScribeOfGoD, tbh the manufacturer doesn't matter to me. It's just the ones we've been getting at the company.
They'll just be cleaning the stock in prep for the new line -
@ScribeOfGoD I am not a hardware guy at all but shouldn't you use 4gb + 4gb. As far I know this should be way better for performance. ( or 8gb +8gb).
Went to order a new laptop for work today, so I can stop using my own. The one we usually get is no longer configurable, and instead is just "buy it off the shelf". Thanks Lenovo. Always wanted 4gb of ram.
