grublle3988yI don't game and linux runs faster, it's an *nix environment.
It's a pain sometimes to open a terminal window to do 'everything'. You learn quite a bit though. -
yarwest26658yI use linux (ubuntu 16.04 lts with gnome desktop on my home pc and mate desktop on my laptop)
I don't feel the restrictions that I felt with windows, I also encounter less bugs, I can work faster and be more versatile.
I still have windows as a dual boot option but I basically only use that for gaming.
@grublle I use Yakuake (https://kde.org/applications/...) which makes it feel way smoother. one press of the button makes it slide down, I do my shit in it, same button hides it again without cluttering anything and without actually closing it. Would recommend. -
Man, I can chose my Linux to develop (Debian), but we have to support five or six distributions.. and MacOS where none us actually likes to develop (let alone this keyboard yikes!) and then there's also Windows for testing. But it is fun.

@yarwest Another Yakuake user! Yeah it's really awesome, can't go without it anymore. To answer the question though, I use elementary os currently because it's fast, runs smooth, mostly open source and I love the interface
Do you guys run linux or windows and why? Im using linux (elementary os) because i like the freedom of linux. I only use windows to game xD
