Learning how to build micro services using Spring Cloud. As I'm not familiar with this architecture, the company's lead engineer suggested me to do research & development on it, recommended me to follow official guide lines before involving me to the current under development project.

What's your advice regarding - what to keep in mind while learning micro service architecture (could be in one sentence)? It will be helpful to me. ^_^ Thank you.

The first rule of microservices:

There is no microservices architecture.

Start in absentia a framework and understand what it is you're trying to accomplish. A microservice is just a slice of a single responsibility in a company that can be scaled independently.

Also have a look at micronaut as well. Spring has a lot of magic, micronaut hides less from you.

In search results, lean into baeldung for spring resources, ignore sites like geeks for geeks. The former is authoritative and professional, the latter is... not.
