This week I grabbed a pillow, locked myself in the bathroom and screamed almost at the top of my lungs.

My wife still heard me.

I ran out to the forest and screamed as loud as I could last week. Highly therapeutic, def recommend. Sometimes one just needs to scream. I imagine particularly if ones nutsack is bleeding.

It seems to work when I push the pillow in someone else's face. No one hears them scream. They don't hear me fart into the pillow either.

    Try a memory foam?

If you have a bathtub, fill it with water, submerge & screeeeeeeeam..
Last time I checked with ears out, only weird gurgling noises & weakened scream are present, so if noone is eavesdropping behind the doors, it should be fine..

@sladuled ... Wow that's actually a great idea!! i'm going to try this tonight

@BLEEDINGNUTSACK 👍 let me know if it (still) works! (:

I do it in the car all the time. Usually it’s a full volume rant with the words ‘fucking’ and ‘useless’ in plentiful supply. I tend to refrain at traffic lights and zebra crossings though.

@sladuled if you are in the building and some of your neighbors is also having a bath with their ears in the water, they can hear you as sound travels faster and further trough the water than trough the air. So it can travel trough the pipes and shit! At least doing it underwater is more silent than the air!

@devJs Okaaay..didn't think about apartment buildings, I admit.. but still, wouldn't the water need to be directly linked? I mean you usually plug the bathtub, so the water is not 'linked anywhere' at that point? 🤔

@Elyz I could hear your bouba screech from here lol

@uyouthe that's a banshee screech, thank you very much. Also not very kiki of you to ignore a sister in distress.

@sladuled not sure, my ears were underwater at 2 ocassions where i could hear neighbors downstairs having argument, heard every word clearly, but I emerged from the water really quick as I was not interested in the details.

Btw my building had great sound isolation, couldn't hear dog barking from the neighbor next door with which I shared walls in bathroom and sleeping room!

@devJs Weird af.. will have to test next time I'm at my parents house.

@sladuled you should hear them like they are in some barrel. Be sure that they are in the room where water pipe that goes to the bathroom is in the wall. Otherwise you wouldn't hear them.

Buildings (at least where I lived) had that 'water vertical pipe' that goes straight trough all floors and is connected with all apartments somehow to assure that every floor has same water pressure and that was the reason I could hear them!

    crazy stuff

@sladuled my goal now is to start a trend where every dev in the world locks themselves in the bathroom screaming underwater

@sladuled btw I sort of tried this last night but not as loud as the time with the pillow, just to check but my bath is so small so sound still kind of leaks a bit. So I’ll try it at the beach next time!

@BLEEDINGNUTSACK 🤣🤣🤣 devs of the world, unite every day at 10:00 PST to scream together under water!!

Sounds fun (: Might join if I'm near a usable bathtub xD

@Elyz I took your advice last week & climbed up a mountain last week to scream my rage away. Very therapeutic, highly recommend. Thanks for the tip!

Applying tincture to that bleeding nutsack will provoke certain amount of pain, yes
