    I've long since given up on descriptive commit messages. Most people don't even realize lines have significance in git, or that you can put issue ticket refs anywhere.

    It's true.
    We've tried multiple times to enforce a pre merge checklist as a bare minimum, but apparently ticking a few boxes is too much work, "cUz We mUsT dELivEr NW!1!1!!"
