I love python.

It's refreshing to use a programming language that makes sense, and was built by people who enjoy programming, and want to make it more enjoyable.

@JohanO c#, for me is definitely a pain to work with for me. It seems like everything I try with Python just works.

Try Haskell sometime. Enjoyable as fuck 😀

Meanwhile I still use python like I use Java. I need to learn the syntax better to take full advantage!

99% can relate! I think programming is enjoyable regardless of language. The only time it wasn't is when you're meeting deadlines, stripping away all those moments where you stop and linger for a while, and appreciate the work, the details, that you've created.

@mtverlee hmm strange for me it is exactly the opposite.

You haven't lived until you've tried lisp.

    Jk. Don't do that!

Python is great for many reasons! We all agree on that ; )

@mtverlee umm I have found the exact opposite. Python is native in Linux but very foreign in Windows. Sit down at any Linux tty and type python. Now try that on cmd.exe. 😩

It's THE reason I even tried Linux my first year of grad school (and never looked back from either!) I was tired of dealing with Python/Windows dependencies.

How can people even use an imperative language without multi-line lambdas?
