    I love vi. I use a VIM emulator in WebStorm at work and vim/tmux at home.

    reasons not to learn vi:
    1. to be effective in vi you really gotta spend time practicing regularly. you could spend that time learning regex or something else
    2. sure there are a few percent of systems where other editors aren't available but let's be real : you will not have to write significant amounts of code on those.
    3. typing speed is rarely the issue.
    4. speed can be placebo. it's been proven that devs perceive themselves to be faster than they actually are when using shortcuts.

    @jiraTicket let me tell u one live Issue.... when a customer reported an issue a newbie opened the log file in nano editor nd the system ate lot of RAM nd system crashed. I was the newbie :D learnt about 'vi' the hard way ;)
