I think a device like what we're talking about would not only be useless but if it had the ability to change the things in the past that we would have done differently then it would also be incredibly destructive. If there was more than one person in the world that had that device to use could you imagine how many conflicts there would be in the space time continuum? We would have an endless loop of paradoxes.

@thmnmlst Black Mirror is a Netflix show that shows the influence and the effect that current technology and advancing technology would and will have on society as a whole and individuals and also show how the interaction that we have from human-to-human would change over time. It's basically a commentary on the effect of technology on society and individuals present and future.

@thmnmlst the episode of Black Mirror that I'm talking about is an episode where Society now has the ability to play back all of their lives but they do not have the ability to change it. But just this ability to play back events or small and large moments in their lives causes disruption.
