ghub piece of shit

damn fucking shitty software. It happened to me in the past(like thrice times) that my mouse got randomly locked at the highest dpi until I uninstalled and reinstalled ghub... well it improved with the time and lately I haven't had that issue anymore, but hey today just for my daily stand up the mic decided to stop working out of the blue(headset is logitech too)... then fuck it didn't have time to troubleshoot that, made my way around using camera mic 🤪

Soon after I finished my meeting, decided to check on ghub to see if the software didn't detect the headset or whatnot... as soon as I tried to open it "ghub is updating", because of course, it can't tell you in any way that you should update it or your devices would not work until you open the goddamned software

Ghub opens at system startup in the tray area, that's my complaint. if it starts by itself why to wait until I open it or why is so hard to show a little notification about a mandatory update 😢

This is why I try to avoid peripherals that require running third-party software to function. I had so many problems with Razer Synapse that I refused to ever buy a Razer product again. I don't mind if you need to run software to configure it, but after it's set up, it should just work without having to run anything.

@EmberQuill I like the virtual 7.1 surround for the headset and the dpi profile switching for the mouse. I haven't take my time to search for a more stable alternative

I've been using a Redragon Perdition M901 mouse since I gave up on Razer. It comes with configuration software too, but the difference is all settings are saved directly on the mouse hardware, so the software doesn't need to be running or even installed for the mouse to work once it is configured to my liking.
