I've literally ignored. My mates twice now , all I want is to chill and code.

I think other people don't get that. Honestly Xmas is far more draining then anything

    I relate to this way too much; I wasn't this way until I met the code. It's a relationship no one outside of it understands, but it makes you happy nonetheless.

    I find that the more social I am, the worse I think. Dear world: pick one.

    @starless that's exactly it!

    @FitzSuperUser this time of year, I try to remind myself to work hard at work and get all my thinking out if the way so that I don't over analyze time with friends. Sometimes it works. 🙃

    @starless the less mentally grounded you are right? Like you have scatter brain because of all of the social energy you expend? Is that what you're referring to? If so I agree 100%

    @dalastTomCruise yeah, that's one way I can think of it. I've started trying to see it as different 'buckets' instead and switching to pulling from the 'social' bucket, for example, takes a context switch, so it's kinda hard. Same result, though. Scatter brain is no fun.

    @starless yeah it doesn't help that I am diagnosed with ADD. So when something stimulating happens (like in social situations) my brain is tempted to ponder it and it drains me. Context switch galore
