An extra semicolon is worse than a missing one

If( condition );
{ operation }

The semicolon after if translates into a nop that executes if condition is true and operation is performed regardless. Generates neither a warning or an error because it is legal code (C/C++). Say what you want, best language in the world I'd take it over anything. I think the same is true in java and c# as well but never tried
