All is not lost. Run some recovery tools on that disk.

Also, you must always have at least two copies of important files, and one of them off-site.

Personally, I love Mega's sync app, it does a great job.

@vortexman100 I'm a big advocate of formatting all my drives once a year, including Linux. USB 3 is your friend :)
