Uhh.. I guess cat has the power to inexplicably fuck over everything... News to me..

    done that "reset" should clear the screen and fix it. exactly why you don't cat binary files

    @jckimble it was a script file I had just scp'd over to a remote box then from the local terminal I cat'd the file to check something and that happened, it also made the Mobo buzzer beep crazily.. I took a pic cause I'd never seen it but reset was the first thing I tried and instantly fixed it. I guess the file must have gotten corrupted at some point. A new copy of the file worked fine..

    @fatlard1993 a corrupted shell script did that? that should never happen, I would understand if it was a binary file but something is up

    @jckimble yup, it was pretty weird.. but like I said a new copy of the file was fine so idrc lol
