Building a production-ready app from scratch during a two-week visit to the overseas client. Built it in one only to hear "you make things look too easy". The app never saw the light of day.

Were their other business factors that caused the app from not being released?

There were. The app was part of a much larger system. The company was far behind on the schedule.

Nonetheless, I spent my spare week building a web crawler that would channel mobile orders through the main system's web interface. I know. But there was no API. That was the best I could come up with.

So in fact the other business factor was that the company was trying to ship an undocumented chimera with no single point of interaction.

There was just no energy left to push the app forward with the client. Everyone was focused on summoning the behemoth.
