I traded my esc-less Mac work lappy for a newer one with a physical escape key.

Instant improvement in quality of life.

And that kids is why we buy actual laptops that we can work with

@Root I traded my Macbook for a Dell XPS... then threw that out of a window and now use a desktop PC.

Now I just write code in one place, behind my desk at home, with a comfortable monitor/keyboard/mouse/chair setup. I plan to continue this even post-pandemic -- When I visit the office, I'll just bring a notebook and a pencil so I can sketch some pictures of large veiny dicks during meetings.

People are too obsessed with mobility anyway.

Most vimmers map caps-lock to esc. It's a neat trick.

@hjk101 Also, ctrl-[ literally sends the esc character to vi/vim, while ctrl-c is also a default "leave insert/replace mode" hotkey.
