Thanks VS code for randomly deciding to fuck up over 1000 lines of saves yet uncommitted code.

I seriously just want to cry

Webstorm dude. Jetbrains ftw!!! Also download their free toolbox for windows and chrome. By far the best, but then again I have an All Products Pack, and I use most of their tools. In any case webstorm is on a different level compared to VS and anything else really

If it is saved, can't you commit now?

I don't use VS Code. So, that's why asking

    How?

Ctrl.+Z will reverse any fuckup that could have happened.

does vs code have a local history?

And this is why you don't delete files until after you've committed them

@asgs @Benedikt trust me, I tried. This fuckup was way beyond that stage

I'm not sure how and what exactly happened but it seems like the file from the beginning of my session and at the time it happened where partially merged and the changed history dumped into a fire.

Its hard to put into words, but I was mainly refactoring to make the file shorter and suddenly all lines I changed where substituted with the lines you'd find at that position in the initial file.

@sakattack41 I've given jetbrains a chance for 3 years, but I just don't feel comfortable with it. If I had time to I'd honestly just use (n)vim, but I haven't had the time to find all the necessary plugins to work as productive as with VS code.
