Why some devs simply join the team, assess where they are positioned, and ALWAYS find ways to avoid doing work but to "lead/help" others... managers event encourage this kind of behavior that ends up harming productivity, examples of this:
- sharing "interesting" news of new technologies sometimes completely unrelated to the current stack
- informing about potential risks on libraries and versions
- infinite code reviews with stupid comments around how things should be done according to him/her

Is it just me ? or there will always be a newcomer with this kind of attitude? why managers can't see they are actually harming productivity?

    Please realize that the field is still progressing, and sharing information on "unrelated" tech stacks do often save time in the long run.
    All the code reviews open up a channel to discuss on the state of the project and how it should be organised.
    There is so much more to this than coding.

    - Your chat doesn't have separate channel for sharing random news? Well, that's news!)
    - You don't mind getting stabbed by subtle dependencies' updates? I can hear logs screaming.
    - You also prefer to avoid code audit? Definitely no freedom of speech for newbies, deprecating today.

    Of course if they *lead* the court, it's a red flag, but not "help" part 😐
