imaji1105yNah, as a user of slackware long time ago, I can relate... Really missed those moments when I have to compile anything. XD imaji1105yNah, as a user of slackware long time ago, I can relate... Really missed those moments when I have to compile anything. XD

imaji1105y@LotsOfCaffeine No, just sharing a same feeling (kinda). But arch package manager and AUR system is pretty good, though... imaji1105y@LotsOfCaffeine No, just sharing a same feeling (kinda). But arch package manager and AUR system is pretty good, though...

@imaji the aur is definitely a big plus, I feel like you can get pretty much any software to run on arch with little effort

But the aur can also be dangerous

lotd76785y@johnmelodyme FreeBSD is lovely. lotd76785y@johnmelodyme FreeBSD is lovely.
 Geli & ZFS are great.
 - I mean zfs send & receive for transferring files <3

Jails rocks. So nice being able to see all processes in every jail from the host.
 - did you know, you can totally jail a jail? :)

The system configurations are usually very consistent and well thought-out too, although I admittedly haven't dug too far down this rabbit hole :p

notThere725yI'm "using" arch as well. Under the hood with Garuda linux at least. Don't know if that counts as using arch or it's like saying i code in cpp when in reality i let the python transpiler do the cpp for me. notThere725yI'm "using" arch as well. Crowns1925y@brown Manjaro is definitely nice, but I like a minimal install of Arch with just a window manager on my Laptop and not all tools Manjaro comes with. If I'd use Arch on my Desktop then I'd go with Manjaro to have it a bit easier with Nvidia and gaming in general.
